QUISPAMSIS, N.B. – It was a good night for P.E.I.’s two entries in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League on Friday night.
The Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild spotted the Saint John Vitos an early 2-0 lead before roaring back for a 6-3 road win. The Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride also registered a victory away from home – a 3-2 decision over the Northern Moose.

At the Q-Plex in Quispamsis, N.B., Colby MacArthur (2-1), Bennett MacArthur (1-2), Landon Clow (1-1), William Proud (1-1) and Isaac Wilson scored for the Wild, who improved to 6-2-1 (won-lost-overtime losses) in taking over sole possession of second place. Duncan Picketts, Zach Biggar, Ryan Richards and Kalib Snow chipped in with assists.

Drew Elliott (1-1), Carter McCloskey and Chris Keyes replied for the third-place Vitos (5-5-1), who led 2-1 after the opening period but trailed 2-1 following 40 minutes.
Chad Arsenault turned in a 35-save effort in earning the goaltending win. Saint John goaltender Jeremi Delaquis faced 22 shots.
The Wild is right back in action Saturday, when the Fredericton Caps (3-4-2) visit Credit Union Centre in Kensington for a 7:30 p.m. start.

At the KC Irving Regional Centre in Bathurst, N.B., Keegan Mitchell’s goal at 10:23 of the second period broke a 2-2 tie, and stood up as the game-winner as the Pride improved to 5-3-0. Luke Garnhum and Noah Griffin also scored while assists were earned by Bradley Campbell (2) and Max Chisholm.
Daniel Kahtib (1-1) and Cole Augustine replied for the Moose (1-11-0).
The teams were tied 1-1 after the first period.
Winning goaltender Jonah Arbing made 27 saves while Northern’s Josh O’Neill faced 39 shots.
The Pride hosts the Saint John Vitos at the Bell Aliant Centre on the UPEI campus Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
