CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – Silas Handrahan and Connor Morrissey each had two goals and an assist Wednesday to pace the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings to an 8-3 victory over the A&S Scrap Metal Metros.
Alex Morrissey added a goal and two helpers while Calvin McRae chipped in three assists in the Island Junior Hockey League road victory at Cody Banks Arena.
Matt Thompson, Brydon Smith and Isaac Knox also scored while Chandler Wood, Dawson McCormack and Isaac Callaghan each picked up an assist.
Nick Currie and Barrington Duffy each had a goal and two assists to lead the host squad. Alex Hambly had a goal and an assist while Jacob Stewart added a helper.
Bronson Banks made 29 saves for the win while Metros starter Liam Jay allowed four goals on 21 shots in 33 minutes and Ben Parent allowed three goals on 16 shots in relief.
The Wings, who held 1-0 and 5-1 period leads, improved to 7-3-0 while the Metros are 4-6-0.
