CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Prince County Warriors bounced back on Saturday afternoon.

After losing 9-1 to the undefeated Eastern Express on Friday night, the Warriors picked up a 5-1 road win over the Central Attack in Charlottetown.

The Warriors will close out a three-game weekend in Crapaud against the Mid-Isle Matrix on Sunday at 4:40 p.m.

Warriors 5 Attack 1

At MacLauchlan Arena, Ethan Dickson scored twice and picked up two assists while Carson Griffin picked up four helpers to lead the O’Leary-based Warriors, who improved to 5-3-0 (won-lost-tied). Eddy Doyle, Kordell Ramsay and Lincoln Waugh added single tallies.

Easton Fitzpatrick netted the lone goal for the Charlottetown-based Attack (0-7-0).

The Warriors built period leads of 2-0 and 5-0.

Overall, Prince County outshot Central 41-19. George Gallant earned the goaltending win with an 18-save effort. Noah Carver made 36 stops for the Attack.

Express 9 Warriors 1

At the O’Leary Community Sports Centre, Evan Nicholson’s four-goal effort sparked the Express past the Warriors.

Ross Campbell (1-2), Alexander Keus (1-2), Dawson Sharkey (1-1), Aiden Wilson (1-1) and Austin Walker rounded out the scoring for the Pownal-based Express (7-0-0). Matthew MacLean had four assists, and Owen MacPherson earned two helpers.

Dickson replied for the Warriors.

Winning goaltender Jackson MacDonald turned aside 22 of 23 shots. Cole Echlin was tested 46 times in the Prince County goal and finished with 37 saves.
