CHARLOTTETOWN – The Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Pride split the first two games of a three-game weekend in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League.

The Pride edged the Northern Moose 3-2 on Friday night, and lost 4-2 to the Saint John Vitos on Saturday evening. The Pride will take a 5-4-0 (won-lost-overtime losses) record into Sunday's home game against the Moncton Flyers at the Bell Aliant Centre on the UPEI campus at 1:45 p.m.

At the Bell Aliant Centre, Riley Bezeau (1-1), Drew Elliott (1-1), Dalton Dunn and Caleb Kean scored for the Vitos (6-5-1). Kean’s goal at 4:06 of the third period broke a 2-2 tie.
Alex Graham and affiliated player Cole McKeigan countered for the Pride, who received a single assist from Cole Larkin.
The Vitos, who outshot the Pride 46-24, held period leads of 1-0 and 2-1. Winning goaltender was Rylan Holder, and Jonah Arbing was between the pipes for Charlottetown.
