KENSINGTON – Philippe-Alexis Vachon’s hat trick sparked the Moncton Vitos to a 6-3 victory over the Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers on Saturday night.
The Vipers hosted the interlocking game between the New Brunswick Junior Hockey League and Island Junior Hockey League at Community Gardens.
Louis-Joseph Vachon (1-2), Alexandre Gallant and Samuel Savoie also scored for the Vitos, who received multiple assists from Pascal Dupuis (3) and Samuel Ingersoll (2).

Logan Vandervelden (1-1), Garrett Murray (1-1) and Easton Smith countered for the Vipers, who will take a 9-12-0 (won-lost-overtime losses) record into Sunday night’s road contest in Souris against the Eastern Maniacs (6-15-1). Nick Bouchey had a pair of helpers.
