CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Five UPEI Panthers teams hit the ice, court, pitch and trail over the weekend.

Soccer
The Dalhousie Tigers tripled the UPEI Panthers 3-1 in Atlantic University Sport women’s soccer action Sunday in Charlottetown.
Amanda Bowles, Megan McKenna and Stephanie Dyck netted the goals for Dalhousie (5-2-1), while Danielle Younker scored goal for UPEI (4-4-1).
UPEI hosts Memorial (4-1-3) on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
Basketball
Milorad Sedlarevic drained 27 and grabbed eight rebounds and led the UPEI Panthers to a 79-72 win over Mount Allison in men’s action Sunday at the Mickey Place memorial basketball tournament at UPEI.
D’Adrian Allen added 21 points and nabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. Dakelle Brooks chipped in 11 points.
Thomas LeGallais and Aram Currie paced Mount Allison with 19 each.
UPEI finished 3-0 and had wins over Cape Breton (91-79) and the University of Maine at Fort Kent (84-65).
On the women’s side Saturday, UPEI downed Holland College 85-69 thanks to 28 points from Kiera Rigby and 21 points from Jane MacLaughlin.
Karla Yepez chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds. Reese Baxendale grabbed a game-high 12 boards.
Breauna Johnson drained 23 points for Holland College and Jayla Verney had 19 points. Jenna Lexi MacInnis nabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Cross-Country
Ryan Merrett finished 11th and was the highest UPEI Panthers finisher at the St. FX invitational in Atlantic University Sport cross-country action Saturday in Antigonish, N.S.
Jeremy Thompson placed 12th, while Brandon Higgenbotham was 16th.
On the women’s side, Emma topped the Panthers runners at 22nd place.
The next meet is the AUS championship Saturday, Oct. 28, in hosted by Acadia in Wolfville, N.S.
Hockey
Breanna Lanceleve scored 1:58 into overtime as the Saint Mary’s Huskies clipped the UPEI Panthers 2-1 in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action Sunday in Charlottetown.
Kaylee Dufresne scored the Panthers goal unassisted.
Laura Polak (1-1) had the other Saint Mary’s goal, while Lanceleve added an assist and Nicole Blanche chipped in two helpers.
UPEI (0-1-1) hosts St. FX (2-0) on Saturday. Game time is 7 p.m.
Rugby
With the St. FX. X-Women’s 51-12 win over the Acadia Axewomen on Sunday, the playoffs in Atlantic University Sport women’s rugby are set.
On Friday, UPEI (2-4) tangles with Acadia (4-2) in the semifinal. Game time is 6 p.m. in Wolfville, N.S.
The winner battles St. FX (6-0) in the AUS final on Friday, Oct. 27. Game time is 6 p.m. at St. FX.
The AUS winner goes to the national championship Nov. 2-5 in Lethbridge, Alta.
St. FX is the defending AUS and U Sports champion.
