CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - The Acadie-Bathurst Titan scored three times in the second period and earned a 6-1 win over the Charlottetown Islanders in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Tuesday in Bathurst, N.B.

Ethan Crossman, Liam Murphy and Summerside’s Noah Dobson had the goals for the Titan (42-15-7-2) in the decisive period. Samuel L’Italien and Jeffrey Truchon-Viel (2) added third-period scores.

Daniel Hardy netted the Islanders (35-23-7) marker.

Evan Fitzpatrick stopped 27-of-28 shots for goaltending win, while Dakota Lund-Cornish kicked aside 41-of-47 attempts in the loss.

Charlottetown hosts the Titan on Friday. Game time is 7 p.m. at Eastlink Centre.

Also Tuesday, Isles goalie Matthew Welsh was also named one of three finalists for the league’s scholastic player of the year award.
