O’LEARY – Eleven teams from six P.E.I. figure skating clubs, and six teams from three Nova Scotia clubs, are registered for a full day of synchronized skating competition at the O’Leary Community Sports Centre on Sunday.
There are four teams entered in the Beginner I level of the Skate Canada P.E.I. friendship competition; three each at the Beginner 2 and pre-novice levels, and one at the pre-juvenile level. The elementary, juvenile and open levels each have two teams entered.
Following a meet-and-greet pancake breakfast for all 17 teams at 7:45 a.m., the competition gets underway at 9 a.m., with the cheer and skill events that run until 11:20 a.m.
At noon, the team program part of the competition will commence, wrapping up with awards and presentations at 2:45 p.m.
