Visser, the ‘Canes captain, and her women’s soccer teammates returned to P.E.I. after competing at the national collegiate women’s championship in Montreal. The South Winsloe native played in her final collegiate game on Saturday and capped a successful career, which saw her compete at the university and college levels for five years. Before joining the Hurricanes she was a member of the Mount Allison Mounties. Visser will continue to study in the paramedicine program. Ngezahayo, a first-year Hurricane, spent last week at the men’s nationals in Fort McMurray, Alta., where Holland College went 2-2 and finished fifth. Ngezahayo was named to the national all-star team. The midfielder joined the attack when needed and shut down opponents defensively. He was named the player of the game in the first game of the tournament versus Capilano and also scored in the ‘Canes third game against Algonquin. The Butare, Rwanda, native is studying in the business administration program.
