Under15 squad wins both games, under-17 team drops pair

CHARLOTTETOWN – It was a weekend of mixed results for the P.E.I. FC under-15 and under-17 girls’ teams in Nova Scotia Soccer League action.

The under-15 squad took back-to-back victories over Halifax City – 3-1 on Saturday and 6-1 on Sunday – while the under-17 team lost 2-1 on Saturday and 6-2 on Sunday.

In the first under-15 game, Elly Dobson, Emma MacIntyre and Reese Kelly scored for P.E.I., and Alayna Trenholm earned the shutout.
Sunday, Kelly and Ria Johnston each scored braces to lead the Island squad. Single goals were netted by Emily MacInnis and Jaden Grant.
Katherine Zinck replied for Halifax City.

In under-17 action, Emily Lepine and Lauren Seamone provided Halifax County’s goals in the first match.
Caitlyn McCloskey countered for P.E.I.
Halifax County had a strong showing in the second game, led by Seamone’s hat trick. Lepine added a pair of goals while Kaitlyn Woodworth netted a single.
Mary Kate Dodds and Emily Cormier replied for P.E.I.
