TIGNISH, P.E.I. — The short-staffed Sherwood-Parkdale Metros gave the top team in the Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League everything they could handle on Sunday night.

The Metros, who had just 10 skaters listed on the game sheet, led 2-1 after the first period and gave up four unanswered goals in the middle frame to fall behind 5-2. The Metros refused to quit and scored the only two goals of the third period to fall just short as the Aces prevailed 5-4 at the Tignish Credit Union Arena.
Dawson Sellick (2), James Doyle, Thomas Shea and Kane Arsenault scored for the Aces, who now sit at 20-1-1 (won-lost-overtime losses).
Marc Cummiskey and Michael Jenkins each scored twice for the Metros (5-14-0). Nick Brown added a pair of helpers.
McGuire Gallant was the winning goaltender and Keenan Hayden was between the pipes for the Metros.
