CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Razzy's Prince Edward Island Junior C Hockey League has released a revised schedule for the remainder of the regular season.
The move was necessary after the Southside Lynx announced it was folding due to insufficient player turnout for a number of recent games.
"We hope to return to the league in the fall," the team said on its Twitter account.
The squad won the league title in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
The move leaves the league with four teams (Sherwood Metros, Tignish Perry's Construction Aces, North River Flames and Summerside Cover All Construction Crunch). The teams will play 26 games total this season and then there will be two rounds of best-of-seven playoffs.
