PORT HAWKESBURY, N.S. — The Strait Richmond Pirates recently captured the Consolidated Credit Union female 'A' hockey tournament championship in Summerside, P.E.I.

The Port Hawkesbury-based Pirates downed the Pownal Red Devils 2-1 in the shootout to claim the tournament title.

Callee Tracey netted the shootout winner for the Pirates.

In the round robin, Strait Richmond posted victories over Capital District Cyclones 1-0, Miramichi Panthers 4-0, and Tyne Valley Tornadoes 3-0.
