SYDNEY, N.S. — Four Cape Breton Eagles players were ranked on the National Hockey League's Central Scouting midterm list on Monday.
Ryan Francis, Egor Sokolov, Ivan Ivan and William Grimard were each ranked among North American lists.
Francis was the highest-ranked Eagle at No. 42 overall, while Sokolov is ranked No. 94. Ivan was slotted in at No. 144 overall. As for Grimard, he was listed at No. 15 among North American goaltenders.
Cape Breton and the Saint John Sea Dogs have the most representation on the list for the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Like the Eagles, the Sea Dogs also have four players ranked — Jérémie Poirier, William Villeneuve, Charlie DesRoches and Brady Burns.
Alexis Lafrenière of the Rimouski Océanic is the top-ranked player on the list at No. 1.
