SYDNEY, N.S. — The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has officially postponed the Cape Breton Eagles weekend home games due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Eagles were originally scheduled to play the Charlottetown Islanders on Friday and the Moncton Wildcats on Sunday, both games at Centre 200, however they will be rescheduled for a later date.

Due to travel restrictions set by the Government of Prince Edward Island, the Islanders will not play a regular season game for at least the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, the city of Moncton remains at the orange level of the New Brunswick COVID-19 recovery plan and won't be able to travel.

Eagles ticket holders are advised to keep their tickets. They will be honoured when the games are rescheduled.
