SYDNEY, N.S. — The Cape Breton Capers men's soccer team recently announced the commitment of two new players for the 2020 Atlantic University Sport season.

The Capers have signed forward Owen Sheppard of St. John's, N.L., and winger Noah Lahey of Mira as the team prepares for the new season.

Sheppard is currently attending Gonzaga High School where he was the school's boys soccer team most valuable player. He also won the Newfoundland and Labrador youth player of the year award in 2018 and 2019.

Lahey is attending Charles P. Allen High School in Bedford and has played his summer soccer with Suburban FC. He's a two-time Nova Scotia and Atlantic champion.

The Capers will begin their next season in September.
