CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Justin Richard had the overtime winner Thursday as the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack evened its Prince Edward Island Midget AAA Hockey League semifinal with the Western Regals 1-1 with a 5-4 victory.

Game 3 of the best-of-five series goes Saturday at 7:15 p.m. in Alberton. Game 4 is scheduled for Tuesday at 6:40 p.m. at Cody Banks Arena in Charlottetown with a deciding Game 5, if necessary, being played Thursday in Alberton.

The Attack held 2-1 and 3-1 period leads Thursday before the Regals scored three goals in six minutes to take a 4-3 lead. Owen Matheseon tied the game with 45 seconds to play.

Richard had two goals while Bates Ling and Matt Power also scored in the victory. Matheson had two assists while Ling, Ben Watts, Damiyan Boyle and Noah Dow each chipped in one.

Kalim DesRoches scored twice for Western while Ethan Reilly had a goal and an assist and Michael McRae rounded out the scoring for the visitors. Brett Ballum had two assists while singles went to Sam Hackett, Chandler DesRoches and Kennedy Gallant.

Keegan Duffy earned the win while Turner Ellis was tagged with the loss.

Central went 0-for-3 on the power play while Western was 0-for-2.
