CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings staged a come-from-behind overtime win Wednesday night.

The Red Wings spotted the host Sherwood-Parkdale A&S Scrap Metal Metros a 3-0 lead after one period, but cut the deficit to 3-1 after 40 minutes. The Red Wings scored twice in the third period to tie the Island Junior Hockey League game, and Alex Morrissey’s second goal of the night – his 20th marker of the season – at 3:06 of overtime gave Western a 4-3 win.
Morrissey also added an assist for a three-point night. Spencer Groom (1-2), who scored a power-play goal at 13:55 of the third period to tie the game, also finished with three points. Brydon Smith netted the other goal for the first-place Red Wings, who improved to 20-3-1 (won-lost-overtime losses). Chasse Gallant (2), Isaac Knox and Silas Handrahan assisted.
