It looks like diehard Raptors fan will have to watch Game 6 of the NBA Finals outside at Jurassic Park.

Even if it means getting a little wet.

Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment announced Thursday evening that the Raptors tailgate viewing party will take place as planned outside the Scotiabank Arena. Despite the not-so-pleasant weather outside — which included sparatic bouts of heavy rain and a risk of thunderstorms.

Because of the weather, fans had hoped Scotiabank Arena would be open for the occasion.

In a statement, MLSE Corporate Communications Manager Charzie Abendanio said the “weather forecast supports this decision and we look forward to welcoming fans” to the viewing party, which will begin at 7 p.m.

Some Raptors fans weren’t too pleased with the announcement, voicing their displeasure on social media.

“What an absolute disappointment. Rogers Centre and Scotia Bank Arena should be packed with fans,” tweeted one fan.

Pretty s–tty of MLSE not to open up @ScotiabankArena tonight for such dedicated, amazing but drenched #Raptors fans. #MLSE dropped the ball on this one,” voiced another.

Abendanio said MLSE will continue to monitor the weather situation, noting “Scotiabank Arena will be a lightning contingency if conditions impact the safety of our fans prior to tailgate opening at 7 p.m.”
