MONCTON, N.B. – Edouard Michaud scored 1:17 into overtime as the host Moncton Aigles Bleus defeated the UPEI Panthers 4-3 and gained an important point in the Atlantic University Sport men’s hockey conference.

Robbie Graham scored two of Moncton’s goals while Alexandre Jacob had the other.

Vincent Deslauriers, Danick Crete and Carl Marois each picked up a pair of helpers while a single went to Michaud.
Sam Aulie, Kameron Kielly and Troy Lajeunesse scored for UPEI. Gabe Guertler had two assists while singles wen to Kielly, Andrew Picco, Olivier Arseneau and Filip Rydstrom.

Etienne Montpetit made 32 saves for the win while Simon Hofley allowed four goals on 44 shots for UPEI.

The game was tied 1-1 and 2-2 after the first and second periods, respectively. Aulie gave the Panthers the lead 4:51 into the third, but the visitors couldn’t hold it.

With the victory, Moncton (12-9-3) has a point lead over UPEI and St. FX, which both have 11-9-3 records, for third place.
