HALIFAX, N.S. – The London Lightning will look to win the National Basketball League of Canada title Thursday in Halifax.
To do so, they will have to do something neither team has been able to do so far in the final: win on the road.
The Lightning defeated the Halifax Hurricanes 110-102 Monday in London, Ont.
Doug Herring Jr. scored 27 points and Julian Boyd chipped in 22 to lead the Lightning’s attack. London shot 53 per cent (17-for-32) from three-point territory.
Tyrone Watson had a game-high 32 points for Halifax while Billy White scored 25.
The Lightning held quarter leads of 25-22, 60-48 and 87-75.
Game 7, if necessary, would take place on Friday, also in Halifax.
