SOURIS, P.E.I. – Souris native Kelsey McIntosh has been hired as technical director by Ringette Canada.

McIntosh recently worked as program co-ordinator for Baseball Canada. From 2001-2010 he was a multi-sport executive director, including Ringette P.E.I., with Sport P.E.I.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to be working with ringette again,” McIntosh said. “There are so many exciting initiatives happening right now within the organization and I am looking forward to bringing my broad sport background and passion for ringette to the table to help continue to grow this great Canadian sport.”

McIntosh will join the Ringette Canada team on Sept. 24 and will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of player, coach and official pathways. Specific areas of responsibility and involvement include coaching, officiating and player development, rules and safety, technical requirements in Ringette Canada competitions and technical requirements in international growth.
“Kelsey has a solid sports background and a keen understanding of the challenges amateur sports face, which will be a tremendous asset to Ringette Canada,” said Natasha Johnston, Ringette Canada executive director. “We look forward to welcoming Kelsey into the ringette family and are confident he will be a key player in the continued growth and development of our sport.”
