CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – The Holland College Hurricanes volleyball teams are on home court this weekend.
The ’Canes women’s squad takes on the Dal AC Rams on Saturday with the men opening the home portion of their schedule with a pair of games against the Université de Sainte-Anne Dragons on Saturday and Sunday.
The women’s Hurricanes (3-2) are tied for fourth in the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association (ACAA) and are coming off a five-set loss to the UNBSJ Seawolves Saturday in Saint John, N.B.
The ’Canes defeated the Rams in straight-sets in their only matchup this season on Oct. 27 in Bible Hill, N.S. Dal AC (1-3) is tied for sixth in the ACAA.
Brittany States leads Holland College in kills with 36, followed by Abby Hyndman with 29.
The men’s Hurricanes (1-1) defeated the Dragons in straight-sets on Nov. 4 in Church Point, N.S., before falling in five-sets to the Seawolves Saturday. The Dragons (0-4) are in fourth place in the standings.
Hurricanes players, Brett Butler and Aaron Pugh, are both in the top-five in the conference for kills per set with 2.63 and 2.13, respectively. 
Game times for Saturday are 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. (women/men) and 11 a.m. on Sunday for the men.
