LANGLEY, B.C. — Jace Colley has made Holland College Hurricanes men’s basketball team history.

The six-foot-seven wing was named the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association player of the year Wednesday in Langley, B.C.

In his second year as a Hurricane, the East Preston, N.S., native averaged 23.5 points while playing in all 21 games during the regular season. He added eight rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals and a block per game while shooting 61.3 from the field field-goal, 36.3 per cent from three-point territory and 66.7 per cent from the free-throw line.

The top-ranked Hurricanes begin play tonight at 11:30 p.m. Atlantic at the nationals against the host Langara Falcons in Langley.

Colley has verbally committed to play Division 1 ball at Chicago State University next year.
