CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – It’s three wins in a row and counting for the UPEI Panthers men’s hoops squad.
UPEI defeated the Memorial Sea-Hawks 71-61 Saturday at home in Atlantic University Sport men’s basketball action.
The Panthers held quarter leads of 16-6, 33-26 and 52-37.
D’Adrian Allen led the Panthers with 17 points and 10 rebounds off the bench while Milorad Sedlarevic scored 11 points and Amin Suleman 10.
Davion Parnsalu had 19 points and eight rebounds while Greg Manuel had 15 points and nine boards to pace the Sea-Hawks.
UPEI improved to 3-12 while Memorial falls to 4-11.
The teams meet Sunday at 3 p.m. with four points on the table and Memorial leading the Panthers by six points in the standings for the final playoff berth.
