CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Volleyball players Taylor Allen and Brett Butler are the Holland College Hurricanes athletes of the week.
Allen, a first-year outside-hitter from Fredericton, N.B., had three kills, three aces and four digs in Saturday’s straight-sets victory over the University of King’s College Blue Devils. The human resource management student had seven kills, an ace and 15 digs in Sunday’s five-set loss to the top-ranked Mount Saint Vincent Mystics.
Butler, a fifth-year left side from Charlottetown, led the Hurricanes in a weekend split with the top-ranked St. Thomas Tommies.
The sport and leisure management student recorded 16 kills and five digs Saturday’s five-set loss, before picking up 14 kills, two aces and 10 digs in a four-set win on Sunday.
