NEW WATERFORD, N.S. — The New Waterford Minor Hockey Association held a moment of silence for a former member of its organization earlier this week.
The association remembered the late Brady Marshe prior to the Cape Breton Midget 'AA' Hockey League game between the host New Waterford Sharks and Glace Bay Miners at the New Waterford and District Community Centre on Monday.
Both the Sharks and Miners players lined up on their respective bluelines for the ceremony, while association president Kyle Baldwin spoke of Marshe and what he meant to the organization.
On the ice, the Sharks defeated the Miners 7-3 and dedicated the victory in memory of Marshe.
