CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Nathan Jones made the most of his first start of the summer with the Morell Chevies, holding the Grant Thornton Tigers to six hits while striking out 13 in an 8-3 win.
Tyler Johnston took the loss, with relief from Jeremy Koughan and Parker Gallant during Kings County Baseball League action Sunday in Charlottetown.
The Chevies were led at the plate by Logan Gallant (3-for-3 with two RBI) and Jarrod Laybolt (2-for-4 with two RBI). The Tigers had hits from six different players, with Josh Kelly and Spencer Montgomery each picking up an RBI.
