WINDSOR, N.S. — The Hunter’s Ale House Mudmen swept the Valley Rugby Union Saturday in Nova Scotia senior men’s rugby action in Windsor, N.S.

The Mudmen division 1 squad (1-1) won its first game of the season by defeating Valley 30-26 in the smoldering heat. Sheldon Cudmore, who had four tries, was named the man of the match for the Mudmen.

The Island’s second division team dominated its game, winning 63-10. Gavin Macaleer was named the man of the match.
The Charlottetown Rugby Football Club (CRFC) dropped a 36-15 decision to Valley in division 2 women’s action. The team is 1-2 on the season.

The two Mudmen teams, two CRFC squads plus the Mudmen’s old boys will play Saturday during a full day of rugby action at Co-op Field that also includes a rookie rugby jamboree.
