Mudmen sweep host Pictou County

NEW GLASGOW, N.S. — It was another successful weekend for the Hunter’s Ale House Mudmen in Nova Scotia senior men’s rugby action.

Both teams returned from New Glasgow, N.S., with convincing wins over Pictou County.
In the first division action, the Mudmen won a chippy match 62-29 to improve to 4-1 at the midway point of the season. Charlie Waddell was named man of the match.

In second division play, the Mudmen improved to 7-0 with a 60-17 victory, clinching first place for the Island squad and home-field advantage for the playoffs.

The man of the match for that game was Dami Emmanuel, who scored his first try with the club.
The division one squad travels to Dartmouth, N.S., on Saturday to play the PigDogs (2-2) while the division two team wraps up their regular season versus the Tars (5-2) in Halifax.
