One would think that Americans would be rooting for the Golden State Warriors to win when the NBA Finals begin at Scotiabank Arena on Thursday.

Apparently not.

According to a map produced by Panama-based online gambling site BetOnline , all but three American states will be rooting for the Toronto Raptors to grab the NBA’s top prize.

The three states that are rooting for Golden State: California – naturally, Nevada and Hawaii.

So how did BetOnline come to that conclusion? The gambling site used geotagged data from Twitter along with each team’s fan hashtags, #DubNation for the Warriors and #WeTheNorth for the Raptors.

And while the Raptors defeated the Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers en route to the NBA Finals, that didn’t deter Florida, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania respectively from supporting Toronto over Golden State.

With the Warriors heading to their fifth-straight NBA finals, the San Francisco Chronicle suggested America is tired of the team’s accomplishments and is looking for a new squad to get behind.
