SUDBURY, ONT. – Brad Morrissey had a goal and two assists Monday to help lead the Notre Dame Hounds to a 5-3 victory over the Toronto Young Nationals on the opening day of the Telus Cup national midget hockey championship in Sudbury, Ont.
The 17-year-old right-winger from Seacow Pond was a third-round pick of the Charlottetown Islanders during the 2017 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The game was scoreless after the first period and tied 2-2 after 40 minutes. Notre Dame was 3-for-8 on the power play and killed all six of Toronto’s chances.
The Hounds, who are coached by Summerside native Devan Praught, play the host squad tonight at 8 p.m. Atlantic.
