SOURIS, P.E.I. – Alex Morrissey had two goals and an assist while Chasse Gallant scored once and set up two more Friday to lead the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings to a 6-1 win over the Eastern Maniacs.

Austin Taylor and Isaac Knox each had a goal and an assist in the win at the Eastern Kings Sportsplex in Island Junior Hockey League action. Spencer Groom also scored while Matt Thompson, Chandler Wood, Evan Millman, Connor Morrissey and Isaac Callaghan each added an assist.

Cole Jenkins from Kyle Martin and Nathan Cahill opened the scoring 7:37 into the game for the Maniacs.

Luke Oliver made 29 saves for the win while Cam Duffy stopped 24 shots in the loss.

The Red Wings, who held 2-1 and 4-1 period leads, went 1-for-3 on the power play and killed both of the Maniacs chances with the man advantage.

Western improved to a league-leading 10-3-0 while Eastern dropped to 0-12-0.
