MONCTON, N.B. – Pat Landry recorded a hat trick to pace the host Moncton Vito’s to an 8-5 win over the A&S Scrap Metal Metros Saturday in interlocking junior B hockey action.
Nicholas Bacso, Mack Campbell, Louis-Joseph Vachon, Greg Stoyles and Brock McEwen (empty net) also scored.
Cale Pierce had a goal and an assist for the Metros. Barrington Duffy, Alex Hambly, Jordan Birt and Nick Currie also scored. Tanner Lund had two assists while singles went to Ryan Boswall, Emmette Lyons, Connor Gray and Grant Koughan.
Julien Landry stopped 27 shots for the win while Liam Jay allowed seven goals on 45 shots. Moncton led 2-1 after 20 minutes, but the game was tied 3-3 heading to the third.
