Austin Nola hit a three-run homer and Marco Gonzales overcame a shaky first two innings as the Seattle Mariners defeated the visiting Texas Rangers 7-3 Monday night.

Kyle Seager also homered as the Mariners won for just the second time in their past 10 games. Rougned Odor hit a solo shot for the Rangers, who took their eighth consecutive loss.

Gonzales (11-8) pitched seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with no walks and four strikeouts. The left-hander retired 17 of the final 18 batters he faced.

Lefty Roenis Elias got the final out for his 12th save of the season.

Rangers right-hander Adrian Sampson (6-7) gave up six runs on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings, with two walks and four strikeouts.

The Rangers scored in each of the first two innings off Gonzales.

With two outs in the first, Elvis Andrus hit a ground-rule double down the right field line, and Hunter Pence grounded a run-scoring single into left field.

The Rangers loaded the bases with no outs in the second on singles by Odor, Asdrubal Cabrera and Delino DeShields, the third hit coming on a bunt. Gonzales struck out Tim Federowicz before Shin-Soo Choo grounded a run-scoring single to right field.

Gonzales got out of the jam as Danny Santana was caught looking at a called third strike and Andrus lined out to right, leaving the Rangers with a 2-0 advantage.

The Mariners took the lead in the bottom of the inning. Omar Narvaez grounded a single to center with one out, and Tim Beckham walked. With two outs, Nola hit a three-run shot to left field, his third of the season.

The Mariners extended the lead to 5-2 in the fourth. Beckham led off with a double, and Seager walked. An out later, Dylan Moore reached on an infield single to load the bases. Mallex Smith then grounded a two-run single into right field.

The Mariners tacked on a run in the sixth. Nola was hit by pitch with one out and Moore singled down the right field line. Left-hander Brett Martin replaced Sampson and struck out Smith, but J.P. Crawford grounded a run-scoring single to right to make it 6-2.

Seager led off the bottom of the eighth with a solo shot, his seventh.

Odor homered in the ninth, his 15th, off Cory Gearrin.
