RIMOUSKI, Que. – Rimouski Oceanic forward Carson MacKinnon of Summerside scored his sixth goal of the 2018-19 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League regular season on Saturday.
MacKinnon, who was named the game’s third star, opened the game’s scoring against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles at 11:46 of the first period as he improved his regular-season point total to 12 in 10 games.
The Screaming Eagles won the game 3-2.
In other action Saturday, forward Jeremy McKenna of Summerside earned an assist in helping the Moncton Wildcats to a 5-2 road win over the Val-d’Or Foreurs. McKenna now has 16 points – three goals and 13 assists – in 10 regular-season games.
