POWNAL, P.E.I. – Will MacDougall scored the game-winning goal and set up two more Monday as the Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils doubled the Robin’s Mid-Isle Matrix 4-2 in Prince Edward Island Midget AAA Hockey League action.
Cole McKeigan and Michael Gallant each had a goal and an assist for the host squad at Pownal Sports Centre. Sam Langille also scored in the win while Noah Brehaut, Brayden Betts and John-Thomas Wood each contributed an assist.
Lucas Buch scored both of Mid-Isle’s goals while Joe MacEachern and Carson MacKay both had an assist.
Caleb Drake earned the win while Ty Arsenault took the loss.
Pownal held 1-0 and 3-1 period leads. Mid-Isle was 2-for-3 on the power play while Pownal was 2-for-5. Pownal improved to 3-4-1 while Mid-Isle dropped to 3-5-2.
