Western Caps’ weekend games cancelled

SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. — The Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capitals’ two exhibition games in the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) scheduled for the Thanksgiving weekend were both postponed.

The Capitals were scheduled to visit the Amherst Ramblers on Friday night and host the Pictou County Weeks Crushers on Saturday.

The Caps’ next pre-season action is scheduled for Thursday in Amherst at 7 p.m.

The Caps are scheduled to open the MHL regular season against the Timberwolves in Miramichi, N.B., on Friday, Oct. 30. The Caps’ home opener is set for Saturday, Nov. 7, also against the Timberwolves.
