KENSINGTON, P.E.I. — The Sherwood-Parkdale A&S Scrap Metal Metros scored three unanswered third-period goals en route to a 5-2 victory over the Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers.

Credit Union Centre in Kensington was the site of the Island Junior Hockey League game on Friday night.

The teams went into the intermissions tied 1-1 and 2-2.

Hunter Bradley (1-1), Grant MacAdam (1-1), Kayden MacLeod, Emmett Lyons and Josh Lund scored for the Metros, who improved to 5-3-0 (won-lost-overtime losses). Cale Pierce chipped in with three assists. Single helpers went to Justin Richard, Ryan Boswall, Owen Matheson, Luke Garnhum and Holden Bradley.

Brett Ballum and Duncan Picketts replied for the Vipers (3-3-0). Tyler Gallant, Joe MacEachern and Dawson McCormack earned assists.

Winning goaltender Matt Jelley stopped 30 of 32 shots. Ben Parent made 37 saves on 42 shots in Kensington’s goal.
