CORNWALL, P.E.I. — Cornwall’s Jordan Spence has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings.
The five-foot-10, 175-pound defenceman had 52 points, including 43 assists, and a plus-49 rating in 60 games for the Moncton Wildcats in 2019-20. He was recently named the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s defenceman of the year.
He had 49 points en route to being named the league’s rookie of the year in 2018-19. The Kings selected the former Summerside D. Alex MacDonald Ford Western Capital and Charlottetown Bulk Carriers Knights blue-liner in the fourth round (95th overall) of the 2019 draft.
