The QMJHL received government approval to go forward with an 11-day bubble in Quebec's red zone.
The league's seven teams in the province's most contagious COVID-19 area will enter a protected environment in Quebec City for a whirwhind of games between Nov. 17 and Nov. 27.
The Gatineau Olympiques, Drummondville Voltigeurs, Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, Victoriaville Tigres, Shawinigan Cataractes, Chicoutimi Sagueneens and Quebec Remparts will play six games each at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City. Games will played throughout the day but a schedule hasn't yet been released.
The plan was approved after careful consideration from the provincial government and following agreement on a handful of recommendations from the health department.
The six teams in the Maritimes Division have been active from the beginning of the season and the five other Quebec-based teams outside of the red zone returned to action last week after a two-week pause.
