CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Grabbing control of the race early from Post 7, Rose Run Quest eased through the fractions as he delivered as the heavy favourite in the Sunday afternoon featured pace at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

As part of a four-win performance by leading driver Marc Campbell, Rose Run Quest captured the $2,900 preferred pace at the capital oval in 1:55.4. The Blair Hansen-owned pacer was sent to the front from the outer Post 7 and laid down fractions of 28.1, 57.2 and 1:27.1, before a 2 ½-length victory in 1:55.4.
Rockin Indy (driven by David Dowling) took second while Varadero Hanover (Ken Murphy) was third to complete the $100 triactor ticket.
Campbell also won with Eagle Jolt in 1:57.2 from his own stable and with Howmac Magic in 1:59.3 for trainer Paul Biggar of Tyne Valley. Painted Pony and Campbell teamed up to win the afternoon finale in 1:59 for owner-trainer Raymond White of Belfast.
Trainer Jackie Matheson had two winners on the card in Outrageous Story (Ron Matheson) in 2:01.2 and Howmacs Dragonator (Mike McGuigan) in 1:58.4.
The total wager was $44,105.
