ALBERTON, P.E.I. — The Western Regals proved hockey is a 60-minute game on Sunday.

The Regals trailed 5-0 after one period and 5-1 at the end of 40 minutes before scoring five unanswered third-period goals for a 6-5 victory over the Pownal Red Devils.
The P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League game was played at the Jacques Cartier Arena in Alberton.
Kalim DesRoches (1-2), Brett Ballum (1-2), Chandler DesRoches (1-1), Sam Hackett, Rankin Noye and Kennedy Gallant scored for the Regals, who improved their league-leading record to 14-8-5 (won-lost-tied).
Will MacDougall (3-1), Mitchell Gallant (1-1) and Sam Worth answered for the Red Devils (11-12-4). Gavin Mason chipped in with three assists.
Nylan Hustler was the winning goaltender.
