ABRAM-VILLAGE, P.E.I. — Chandler Wood scored two goals and the Arsenault’s Fish Mart Western Red Wings played a strong defensive game in a 4-1 victory over the Sherwood-Parkdale A&S Scrap Metal Metros on Sunday afternoon.

Chandler Wood scored two goals to lead the Red Wings in the Island Junior Hockey League game, played at the Evangeline Recreation Centre. Alex Morrissey and Thomas Rennie also scored for the Red Wings, who received a pair of assists from Silas Handrahan.
Nick Currie netted the lone goal for the Metros.
The Red Wings led 2-0 after the first and second periods.
Winning goaltender Cole Gallant made 26 saves while the Metros’ Noah Laybolt turned aside 22 shots.
The Red Wings were assessed five of the game’s seven penalties.
The two teams will meet again Wednesday at the Cody Banks Arena in Charlottetown. Puck drop is set for 8 p.m.
