Pownal doubles Kings County in under-18 hockey

POWNAL, P.E.I. — Gavin Mason, Holden Bradley and Seth MacLeod each had four-point nights to lead the Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils to a 6-3 victory over the Kings County Kings Sunday in P.E.I. Under-18 AAA Hockey League action.

Mason had two goals and two assists while Bradley and MacLeod each had a goal and three helpers. Sam Parsons chipped in a goal and an assist while Nathan Campbell rounded out the scoring for the winners.

Aiden Drake, Tristan Lea and John-Thomas Wood each drew an assist.

Taylor Maguire had a goal and an assist for the Kings while Aidan Banks and Denver MacDonald also scored. Alexander Dixon, Gabe Hartlen, Devin MacDonald, Spencer Miller and Ryan Steadman each had an assist.

Ethan Smith earned the win while Drew Chapman took the loss.

Pownal, which held 2-0 and 4-2 period leads, went 3-for-5 on the power play while Kings County was2-for-6.

The Red Devils improved to 9-6-4 while the Kings are 1-11-4. Pownal hosts the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack (9-2-5) Monday at 7:40 p.m.
