Ryan Richards, Tayler Read, Morgan Darbyson and Garrett Murray collected assists for the Vipers, who are now 9-7-1 (won-lost-overtime losses). Connor Morrissey picked up the lone helper for the league-leading Red Wings (14-2-2).
Cole Gallant faced 30 shots in Western’s goal.
The Vipers were assessed four of the game’s five minor penalties. Kensington was 1-for-1 on the power play while the Red Wings were 0-for-4.
