MONCTON, N.B. — The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues have forced a deciding game in their Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey quarter-final with the UPEI Panthers.

Samantha McLaughlin’s unassisted goal five minutes into the second period was the winner Sunday as the host Aigles Bleues defeated the Panthers 1-0.

Audrey Berthiaume stopped 32 shots for the shutout while Camille Scherger turned aside 28 shots in the loss.

Moncton was 0-for-5 on the power play while UPEI was 0-for-4.

Game 3 of the best-of-3 series goes Tuesday at 7 p.m. at MacLauchlan Arena.
