POWNAL, P.E.I. — Cole McKeigan set up four goals Monday as the Pownal Taco Boyz Red Devils beat the Kings County Kings 6-2 in Prince Edward Island Midget AAA Hockey League action.
Will MacDougall had a hat trick while Drew McPhee and Gavin Mason each had a goal and an assist and Noah Brehaut scored once at the Pownal Sports Centre. Jack Triantafflou and Sam Parsons each had two assists while singles went to Sam Cassibo and Will Murley.
Denver MacDonald had a goal and an assist for the Kings while Ryan MacDonald had two helpers. Craig Steadman also scored while Jacob MacPhee had an assist.
Caleb Drake earned the win while Landon Patton took the loss.
Pownal, which held 2-1 and 3-2 period leads, went 2-for-11 on the power play while Kings County was 1-for-7.
Third-place Pownal improved to 7-6-1 while the Kings (0-9-3) are in the basement in the five-team circuit
