POWNAL, P.E.I. — Cam Squires scoring the tying goal with 30.2 seconds remaining Thursday at the Pownal Sports Centre as the Central Attack skated to a 4-4 tie with the Eastern Express in Prince Edward Island Major Bantam AAA Hockey League action.
It was Squires’ third goal of the game.
Finn Morris has a goal and an assist for Central while Nathan Mossey had two helpers and singles were credited to Brennan Murphy, Will White and Luke Coughlin.
Jude Campbell had two goals and two assists for the Express while Mason Power and Dawson Sharkey also scored. Matthew MacLean had three assists, Caleb MacDonald chipped in a pair and Sharkey one.
Ethan Clark (Central) and Jackson MacDonald (Eastern) were the goalies.
Central led 2-0 after the first period while Eastern took a 4-2 lead to the third. Eastern was 1-for-3 on the power play and killed all three of the Attack’s attempts with the man advantage.
The Attack (18-7-1) leads the Express (17-8-1) by two points in the battle for first place in the four-team circuit.
