POWNAL, P.E.I. — John MacKinnon scored twice Monday to lead the Sherwood Drug Mart Central Attack to a 4-1 road victory over the Pownal Red Devils in Prince Edward Island Midget AAA Hockey League action.
Darian Jameson scored the winner 2:25 into the second period and assisted on Kyle Connell’s goal with 2:49 left in the middle stanza. Owen Matheson had two assists while Ben Watts contributed one.
Cole McKeigan from Will MacDougall and Holden Bradley accounted for Pownal’s goal.
Aiden Rose earned the win while Logan Birt took the loss.
The game was tied 1-1 after the first period while Central took a 3-1 lead to the third. Central scored an empty-net goal to go 1-for-5 on the power play and killed both of Pownal’s chances with the man advantage.
The Attack improved to 13-9-4 while the Red Devils are 11-13-4.
